Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level extension is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular terms on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
